By The Numbers: Summer 2015 Vancouver PPM Ratings

Summer 2015 PPM ratings covering June 1st to August 30th in the Vancouver Market is courtesy of Numeris and Bray & Partner Communications .

“Bragging rights in Vancouver: 103.5 QM-FM grabs the #1 spot for A12+ with a 11.7% share of hours tuned (up from 11.6% last time out),” says David Bray.

“Taking the top spot for F25-54 was QM-FM, posting a 14.9% share (up from 12.3% last time out). JACK-FM holds the lead for M25-54 listeners, delivering a 13.6% share (up from 10.8%). The FOX is out in front for M18-34 with an 18.2% share of hrs. tuned (down from 22.0%). When it comes to Females 18-34, Z95.3 takes top spot with a 14.4% share (down from 17.2%).

We have two charts for you. The first is the Numeris PPM Top-Line Radio Statistics for Average Minute Audience (AMA), Daily Cume and Share (see green box for definitions) for Adults 12+ Monday – Sunday 2am – 2am.

The second is a Bray & Partners breakdown of the 2015 Summer and Spring PPM ratings of Vancouver radio stations for Adults 12+, Women 25-54 and Men 25-54 Monday to Sunday 5am to 1am. (The Numeris chart covers 24 hours of ratings which explains why there may be a slight difference in the B&P chart.) While this chart lets you track how each station is trending from one ratings period to another,  it is important to note that FM music stations traditionally have higher summer ratings than AM news and talk stations. People are in a vacation mode and tend to prefer listening to music at a BBQ, on the deck or at the summer cottage.
